The campus of Shepherd International High School in Port Harcourt was transformed into a vibrant mosaic of colors, sounds, and flavors as we celebrated our annual Cultural Day. True to our vision of producing "all-round excellent and purpose-driven leaders," the event was a powerful reminder that our strength lies in our diversity.

A Celebration of Heritage and Identity

In line with our mission to deliver a holistic education, Cultural Day serves as a vital platform for students to connect with their roots while fostering mutual Respect—one of our core values. Students arrived dressed in stunning traditional regalia representing the rich ethnic groups of Nigeria, from the intricate beads of the South-South to the flowing wrappers of the East and the vibrant textiles of the North.

Excellence on Stage

The highlight of the day was the series of choreographed cultural performances. Our students demonstrated immense Discipline and Excellence as they performed traditional dances, including a captivating seated routine that showcased synchronized movements and rhythmic storytelling.

The atmosphere was further enriched by:

• Traditional Delicacies: A grand display of local cuisines, allowing the school community to sample the diverse flavors of our nation.

• Rhythmic Storytelling: Students used music and dance to narrate the histories of their various tribes, blending "sound academics" with cultural awareness.

• Community Spirit: Parents, staff, and students joined together in a spirit of Humble Service to ensure the event's success.
